Terms and Conditions
When you place an order with Print Responsibly, you hereby are forming a legally binding Contract with Print Responsibly, for products and services, and you hereby agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions as detailed below:
Please note that Print Responsibly further reserves the right to modify our Terms and Conditions without notice.
The fees and payments for those fess for all of the Print Responsibly products and
services, which include the cost of processing, printing, shipping and/or mailing,
and any other charges applicable, are due and payable together with the submission
of an order.
Print Responsibly requires pre-payment on all orders with the exception of certain customers pre-approved for Credit Terms. Print Responsibly grants Credit Terms on the print portion of orders only.
All mailing services and postage related fees must also be prepaid.
Please note that no orders will be mailed until an approved and signed mailing services invoice is returned from the customer authorizing payment. Print Responsibly accepts Purchase Orders from government and educational institutions with prior approval and requires the submission of the PO number at the same time the order is submitted.
Any amount due to Print Responsibly, which is not paid, may result in non-delivery of the order, and interest charges as allowed by law.
Customers are responsible for all related collection costs, legal fees and interest. All returned checks will be charged a fee of $25.
Color Reproduction & Quality Standards
Print Responsibly will meet print industry standards regarding color and quality.
The accuracy of each color reproduction is guaranteed to be within a minimum of
90% of the proof approved.
Print Responsibly accepts no responsibility whatsoever for color variations between submitted images and the actual artwork or product they represent because of the normal and standard limitations in printing. Print Responsibly therefore cannot guarantee color quality, unless the client orders a hard proof.
Clients must provide print ready files suited to the offset printing process.
Print Responsibly is not liable for files printed poorly due to low-resolution images provided by the client. Clients are 100% responsible for all text and layouts.
Furthermore, Print Responsibly is not responsible for any errors and omissions in artwork, either supplied by the client or edited by Print Responsibly, that have been approved by the client. Clients are required to provide all full color printing images in CMYK format. Print Responsibly cannot responsible for any color shift that might occur in the conversions from the RGB color mode to the CMYK color mode. All Orders requiring spot colors must be created using standard Pantone PMS colors.
Over-runs and Under-runs
Print Responsibly follows the industry standard of supplying + or - 10% over-runs
Overruns or under-runs that do not to exceed the 10% standard of the amount ordered, shall thereby constitute an acceptable delivery.
Therefore, if you receive more prints than you ordered, these are complimentary extras that are sent to you at by Print Responsibly "no charge." Any deficiency shall be credited to your account proportionately.
If you require a "no less than" quantity, this must be stated when at the time the order is placed.
Print Responsibly will attempt to contact the client (by e-mail or by phone) when errors are detected in supplied files. The client will be alerted to the issue and given the following choices:
Soft & Hard Proofs
A soft proof will be sent to the client's email address in a PDF format.
The soft proof will be completed within one business day after the print ready files have been uploaded to the order.
The client can then view the soft proof on screen or download it and print it.
The soft proof only represents the design layout, text accuracy, image proportion and placement and is not meant for reviewing or approving color accuracy or density values.
Print Responsibly cannot guarantee color quality unless the client orders a hard proof is.
A hard proof is a full color, one-sided and untrimmed relatively high-quality inkjet proof that is calibrated to our presses and printed on standard semi-gloss proofing paper.
Hard proofs are meant to proof color ONLY.
We do not run true "press proofs" as they are too costly and wasteful to be justified. If you need to see printing on an actual paper stock, we recommend that you order samples.
Hard proofs will be mailed overnight to the account address, unless otherwise stated in the order notes, within one business day of receiving print ready files to the order. Hard proofs must be returned to Print Responsibly to initiate order turnaround. If your order is color critical, Print Responsibly strongly suggests you purchase a hard proof.
When a proof is ready, the client will be notified by e-mail. Any changes to orders must be in writing. Print Responsibly will not proceed with verbal corrections or approvals.
The turnaround time selected by the client begins with online proof approval of
our soft proofs or when approved hard proofs are returned to our location.
If your job or proof is approved by 2:00 P.M. EST, the printing turnaround time begins that same business day. For instance, an order placed with a three-day turnaround approved by 2:00 P.M. Wednesday would be completed and shipped after 4:00 P.M. EST Monday.
Please make a note that Print Responsibly's offices are closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays.
Your selected turnaround time does not include shipping and should be taken into consideration when choosing your method of shipping.
Printing turnaround times for approved orders is guaranteed.
If your deadline is not met, it is our standard policy is to refund any rush charges or upgrade a future order to include rush services. Only orders with written instructions regarding a specific ship date will be considered for a full refund. The date requested, however, must be achievable with the selected print turnaround.
The client’s Mailing list(s) while in Print Responsibly's control, is/are the sole
property of the client and shall be used only with the client's instructions.
Once the printed piece is delivered to the USPS, Print Responsibly's responsibility ends.
Print Responsibly is only responsible for the preparation and delivery of mailing pieces. In no case is Print Responsibly liable for loss of business, incidental or consequential damages, or costs in excess of billing for services related to the specific job.
Shipping & Handling Fees
Any delays or damages during shipping are the sole responsibility of the carrier providing shipping services. Print Responsibly is not responsible for delays or damages caused during shipping.
Cancellation of Orders Fees
Any Cancelled orders may require compensation for incurred costs and related obligations:
All claims regarding printed jobs must be submitted in writing for evaluation within ten days of receiving your product. Any claims submitted after this deadline will not be accepted.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Print Responsibly and its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors and employees, from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your use of the Site, violation of these Terms and Conditions, or other infringement by you, or any other user of your member name, of any intellectual property or other right of any person or entity.
